My Story
There’s a lot of say about where I started and how far I have come.
I started in 2008, with a simple dream of starting my own business and being my own boss as most young entrepreneurs do! So, while I was fortunate to be living out another dream as a teacher, I started to put together a plan to start my writing career. That’s where I originally wanted to be after college- writing about hockey.
Blogging back then was the biggest thing on the Internet. And not only did I enjoy it, I was really good at keeping up with it and getting my voice to be heard. I wrote about lifestyle topics that interested me such as dating, relationships, fashion, style, etc. I thought if I could get noticed this way, I could then quickly shift gears and start writing about sports. Social media was just getting started and I was amazed how by me placing a link for people to click, got them to read my blogs! Long story short, it was cool to have “fans” in other countries reading my blogs because of Twitter and Facebook.
I then started to write for many websites and even got to write a blog as a ghostwriter for some celebrities.
Blogging was awesome, but what was even more amazing was social media. I then immersed myself into learning just how social media worked. I taught myself the ins, outs, ups, and downs of Twitter, Facebook and at that time, Google +. I then joined Pinterest and learned about that platform and was amazed how each platform worked. I then started to come up with a strategy on how I could create a social media company that helped others and businesses alike, benefit from social media.
From developing my social media company I did social media marketing for companies and brands as a 3rd party consultant for a company called Blogher. I got to experience creating campaigns for JcPenney, Toys R Us, American Idol, to name a few. I took my experience from this and transformed it into how I do social media today for clients. I coach companies, brands, individuals, entrepreneurs, students, and athletes on the best ways to use social media platforms, and how to use them to your advantage.
I am content creator who creates knock your socks off content for companies, brands, individuals, entrepreneurs, students, and athletes as well.
Great content is an important asset. It has the ability to create positive experiences for your potential customers and compel them to come back for more. It’s your ticket to capturing your audience’s attention and continually reinforcing a positive brand impression. Content plays a crucial role in achieving business and social media objectives such as brand recognition, thought leadership, audience engagement, and lead generation. It allows you to cement your position as a go-to destination for your customers, whether it be for entertainment, education, or inspiration.
(Personal Tip: I also did some social media influencing for brands and learned how the influencer marketing works. )
I also have had a LOVE for fashion and for creating my very own pieces- that before I even started my own social media company, I tried to start a craft business and went to MANY craft shows to sell my products. It didn’t do as good as I hoped, but I never quit thinking that one day I would have my own shop.
As I stated, I started out blogging and then that lead me to writing some very important books. I hate writing fiction, but I took a crack at it with my Diary Of A Drama Queen Book. My love is writing non-fiction and uncovering the truth about situations, exploring topics that are controversial, and trying to make a difference through my investigations. But I am writing the follow up to my YA book which will be out sometime in 2026.
I still also write poetry and have received the editor’s choice award for outstanding achievement and I am thinking of releasing a poetry book. I have also been on Z100 with a song I wrote called, “Mess for you” ( its on YouTube)
I have spoken at NAEYC, TPT, events, and networking groups.
I have coached young adults, athletes, business men and women in how to have the big dog mentality. I believe that it’s an essential part of your role as a leader to help others realize and use their knowledge and skills while helping them expand their capacity as individuals and as members of a team.
I coached sports ( Basketball and Cheerleading) from youth to college, and has won numerous awards and championships.
I also do enjoy reading, drinking coffee, being sarcastic, hanging out with my niece and nephew, going on some adventures, visiting the beach, playing brain games, dancing, listening to music, and watching sports.
I love art shows, street fairs, traveling, and I am more of a TV girl than I am a movie girl ( but I HATE scary stuff!)I have written some reality TV show scripts and they are registered with the Writers Guild of America East and West.
I have a love for shopping, that sometimes to combat stress I just go and try on a pair of fun shoes. I have also sold some of my art and my photography- if you are interested hit me up!
I have trained squirrels to take peanuts from me and birds as well come land next to me. You could say that I am your real Cinderella or Snow White. I just haven’t trained them to clean for me just yet.
